Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC)
The Permaculture Design Certificate gives a good overview of permaculture principles and practice, with an emphasis on design. At Northey Street, we include significant hands-on practical experience as well.

Horticulture Level 1
This ten week, TAFE accredited course provides an introduction to organic gardening. From 9 am to 3 pm plus 4 hours per week practical work.
Starting dates:
Courses begin Tuesdays 17 June (excluding June school holidays), 9 September and 18 November (excluding summer school holidays), and Saturday 11 October. Courses consist of three modules and alternative starting dates are available on request.

Accredited Permaculture Training (APT) Internships
NSCF's flexible APT3 program is for those who wish to gain in-depth practical experience and become competent permaculture practitioners. Approximately 500 hours of practical training over twelve months, with concurrent (or prior) completion of a Permaculture Design Certificate, will lead to a nationally-accredited Level 3 Certificate in Permaculture.
APT3 practical work can be done at NSCF on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, or partly at the student's own premises, by arrangement.
Course dates: 26 July to 6 December 2008 and 13 February to 20 June 2009.
APT3 training is Austudy approved.

Bookings for PDC and APT3 require payment of a deposit of $200 ($150 conc.) There is a 5% discount for payment in full by one month prior to course commencement. Monthly payment of course fees can be arranged.
